Stacey A. Wood, Jr., MD, FACOG

Dr. Wood, one of the founding partners of Midtown ObGyn, earned his undergraduate degree at The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He graduated from the Duke University School of Medicine and completed his residency at The University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences, Memphis, TN. After completing his residency in 1987, he moved to Charlotte and has been in private practice since. Dr. Wood is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as a member of The American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and the Mecklenburg County Medical Society. He has served two terms as the Chief of Ob-Gyn at Presbyterian Hospital. Dr Wood is married with two adult children. He enjoys reading, music, bicycling, and trying to play his saxophone. His special interests include preventive care, routine as well as high risk obstetrics, and minimally invasive surgery including daVinci robotic surgery (robotic hysterectomy, robotic myomectomy), and advanced laparoscopic porcedures ( laparoscopic hysterectomy). |
Gregory D. Parker, MD, FACOG

Dr. Parker graduated from Duke University in 1980 and went on to do his medical school training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he also completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. After moving to Charlotte in 1988, he practiced at Nalle Clinic until the founding of Midtown Obstetrics and Gynecology in March, 2001. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has special professional interests in minimally invasive surgical techniques and High Risk Obstetrics. |
James J. Hardy, MD, FACS, FACOG

Dr. Hardy is one of the founding partners of Midtown Ob/Gyn Associates and is currently the managing physician. He is a graduate of UNC at Chapel Hill and the UNC School of Medicine and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UNC Hospitals. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Among his special interests are gynecologic surgery, especially minimally invasive surgery; office gynecology; well care; and routine and high-risk obstetrics. He serves on several Presbyterian Hospital committees and is active in peer review work for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. |
